The United Arakan Institute of Malaysia (UAIM) recently carried out a Clothes Distribution Program aimed at supporting underprivileged Rohingya families and individuals living in and around Puchaung, Kuala Lumpur.

The program, organized as part of UAIM’s ongoing social welfare services, provided new and gently used clothing to hundreds of beneficiaries, including children, women, and elderly community members. Volunteers and students from the institute helped sort, pack, and distribute clothing items with care and respect.

The distribution took place on the UAIM campus, where recipients were welcomed with warm hospitality. Clothing included daily wear, winter garments, and children’s outfits, ensuring comfort and dignity for those struggling with economic hardship.

UAIM’s Director  said:
“This small act of kindness is a part of our broader mission to uplift and serve our community with compassion and dignity. Every piece of clothing handed out today carries a message of solidarity.”

Community members expressed heartfelt thanks to the organizers and donors, emphasizing how such efforts make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. The event concluded peacefully, with prayers for the well-being of all supporters and continued unity within the community.

UAIM extends its gratitude to all who contributed to the success of this humanitarian effort and reaffirms its commitment to serving the needs of the Rohingya and wider refugee community.
