The United Arakan Institute of Malaysia (UAIM) successfully organized its annual Qur’an Competition 2017, bringing together talented students from across the community to participate in an inspiring event that celebrated Islamic scholarship and spiritual growth.
The competition took place on the UAIM campus in Puchaung and featured several categories in Qur’anic memorization (Hifz) and recitation with Tajweed. Young participants, ranging in age and level of study, showcased their abilities before a panel of respected judges and an enthusiastic audience of parents, teachers, and guests.
The event aimed to strengthen the connection of Rohingya youth with the Holy Qur’an, encouraging excellence in learning and recitation while fostering unity and confidence. Distinguished guests, including religious scholars and community leaders, praised the students’ efforts and the institute’s dedication to Islamic education.
In his closing remarks, UAIM Director [Insert Name] emphasized the importance of nurturing future generations with strong spiritual foundations.
“This competition reflects the strength, potential, and discipline of our youth. Our goal is not just academic success, but the preservation and practice of Islamic values,” he said.
Winners in each category received awards and gifts, while all participants were presented with certificates to recognize their hard work and commitment. The program ended with collective du’a, uplifting speeches, and a shared meal, leaving participants motivated and the community inspired.
The event was made possible through the support of generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and the hardworking teachers of UAIM.
