I am feeling heartily pride and pleasure for “Maahad Tahfiz AL Quran AL Ikhwaniah @United Arakan Institute Malaysia (UAIM)” since 2016 and 2018 till now paying the best effort for refugee and underserved communities to provide quality education not only for academic purposes but also to build up in them social values and social and cultural adaptation in the host country.
As a Guardian as well as the chairman, I can see the potential in the refugee children. They can be anything if they are given the opportunity.
“Maahad Tahfiz AL Quran AL Ikhwaniah @United Arakan Institute Malaysia (UAIM)” therefore is committed to provide quality education to refugee and underprivileged children. Our mission is to serve the refugee and needy children for the sake of humanity at largest ensuring to nurture the future for every child we serve.
I believe that when you read our prospectus, you will be galvanized by our desire to nurture; to care for, encourage and support refugee and underprivileged children. I hope, however, you will also be struck by our determination to develop their skills to help them achieve their full potential.
We aim to provide a holistic learning experience by encouraging individuality and interacting with our refugee community, please enjoy learning more about our school, through this prospectus.

Principal’s Words
United Arakan Institute Malaysia (UAIM) is not just a learning centre; it is a beacon of hope for marginalized communities. Established in 2018 by our visionary principal, Ustaz Sayed Mohamad, we’ve come a long way from starting with 10 children in a small mosque in Puchong to now nurturing 200 young minds across three vibrant departments: Tahfiz, Academic, and Jamiah.
Tahfiz- Maahad Tahfiz AL Quran AL Ikhwaniah was initiated in the year 2016 to impart good morality and modern integrated education to the refugee and underprivileged children.
We are honoured to be recognized and registered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Jamiah Al-Arakan Al- Islamiah
The first Education Institution for higher Islamic Studies, was set up in 2022 aiming to produce Islamic scholars in six years that seek to effectively contribute towards humanity and Rohingya Community in a manner benefitting the cause of Islam, by nurturing their convictions and preparing them to fulfill their comprehensive duties towards Allah and His Messenger, Din, self, family, community and society.
Over the years, the institute has grown to become for excellence for the development of young refugee children. The entire purpose of our institute is to educate and to orient students towards the future of building of a great nation, in all walks of life.
We have finest infrastructure and resources for basic and secondary learning for our students. We always maintain a special bond with every refugee child as the teachers take interest in each child’s growth and development.
We’re more than just a school. We’re a community that bridges gaps, fosters relationships, and ignites dreams, regardless of racial or cultural backgrounds. Our diverse student body hails from Rohingya, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and more.

It is my honour and privilege to welcome you to the United Arakan Institute Malaysia (UAIM), a learning center founded with the mission of providing quality education and hope to Rohingya refugee children and youth in Malaysia.
