UAIM Food Pack Distribution Program

“No family should sleep hungry.”

In times of hardship, a single food pack can mean the difference between hope and despair. At the United Arakan Institute Malaysia (UAIM), we are committed to supporting needy refugee families in Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Malaysia who struggle daily to feed their loved ones.

Many of these families—especially single mothers, orphans, and the elderly—live in extreme poverty, often forced to skip meals or go entire days without food. In some tragic cases, hopelessness has led to attempts of suicide, especially when parents cannot provide even the most basic needs for their children.

What’s Inside a Food Pack?

Our food packs are carefully prepared to meet the essential nutritional needs of a family for several days. Each pack typically includes:

1. Rice
2. Cooking oil
3. Lentils or beans
4. Canned food (fish/meat)
5. Salt & sugar
6. Onions & spices
7. Baby formula (if needed)

Where We Serve

• Myanmar (Rakhine State): Families affected by ongoing violence and displacement.
• Bangladesh Refugee Camps: Rohingya refugees surviving in cramped conditions with movement restrictions.
• Malaysia: Refugee families living under constant pressure, unable to work legally, and often neglected.
